HOT MODERN GLAM PT. 3 - FAMILY/GAME ROOM
One of the main goals my client had for this project was to create a comfortable, yet stylish, space where she could spend time with her children and grands. They love watching Sooner football and playing board games. These rooms were also positioned right across from the kitchen, so it’s the perfect space to hang out.
In the game room side, we created a more cozy feel by adding an accent wall with a deep, rich paint color. A round table for playing card games and puzzles was brought in, and we up cycled a piece that she already owned by adding paint. We used it as our console. I have before and after pics below.

On the family room side, we updated the fireplace with a warm, large format porcelain tile. We updated the mantel under the mounted TV. For a polished look, a sofa, two accent chairs, storage ottoman, lamps, end tables and a rug were brought in. I also selected a patterned fabric for the custom curtain to flank the large window. I really enjoyed creating these spaces. I have heard from my client, as well as her family, about how much they are enjoying these spaces. This is the reason I do what I do. :)
